What types of products does Cambois offer?
+
Cambois offers high-end interior wall solutions: acoustic wood panels, design wood panels, acoustic stone panels, design stone panels, natural stone veneers in Classic and Self Adhesive, acoustic metal panels, design metal panels, accessories, LED and samples. The Organique Collection rounds out the range with natural surfaces such as lavender, moss, Alpine meadow, rose petals or wool.
What is the difference between an acoustic panel and a design panel?
+
An acoustic panel improves sound comfort thanks to its ribbed structure and acoustic felt. It is ideal for reducing reverberation in a living room, office, restaurant or meeting room. A design panel focuses mainly on aesthetics and material. It dresses walls, ceilings or furniture with a high-end decorative finish, without primarily seeking acoustic performance.
Do acoustic panels really improve the acoustics of a room?
+
Yes. Cambois acoustic panels are designed to absorb part of the sound and make the room more pleasant. Panels with 9 mm acoustic felt improve sound comfort day to day. Depending on the mounting, they can reach a high acoustic class: directly on the wall, the improvement is already noticeable; on a frame with insulation, the performance is even better.
What materials are used for the wood panels?
+
The wood panels are made with a quality wood veneer on a moisture-resistant black MDF base, fixed onto an acoustic felt. Available species include oak, walnut, ash and teak, with various finishes such as oiled, light lacquered, white lacquered or black lacquered. As wood is a natural material, each panel shows unique shades and grain.
Are the stone panels made of real stone?
+
Yes. The stone panels and veneers use a genuine natural stone surface. The décors can be slate, mica, limestone, sandstone, marble or other mineral finishes. Each sheet or panel has its own colours, veins, relief and variations. These differences are not defects, but proof of the authenticity of the stone.
What is photo-matching for stone veneer?
+
Photo-matching is an optional service for choosing the appearance of your stone sheets before delivery. After your order, Cambois can send you photos of the available batches. You can then select the sheets that best match your project. This is particularly useful for natural stone veneers, as each sheet is unique.
What is the difference between Stone Veneer Classic and Stick & Go?
+
Stone Veneer Classic is a flexible natural stone sheet that is bonded to a suitable substrate with an appropriate adhesive. Stick & Go is designed for easier installation thanks to a self-adhesive solution depending on the product. Both deliver a genuine natural stone surface with a reduced thickness and lighter weight than a solid slab.
Are the stone panels suitable for bathrooms?
+
Yes, some stone panels are suitable for humid indoor environments such as bathrooms, kitchens or spas, provided they are not installed in an area in direct contact with water. The moisture-resistant black MDF base provides good stability indoors. For a shower, a very humid area or a professional project, we recommend seeking advice before ordering.
Are the metal panels made with real metal?
+
Yes. The metal collections use genuine metal finishes, such as aluminium, copper or brass, depending on the décor. They come in acoustic or design versions, with brushed, polished, mirror, patinated, textured or artistic effects. These panels are designed to bring an exclusive and durable look to modern interiors.
What is the Organique Collection?
+
The Organique Collection brings together decorative and sometimes acoustic natural surfaces, made from materials such as lavender, moss, Alpine meadow, rose petals, wool or other plant fibres. It brings a warm, sensory and natural atmosphere to hotels, offices, shops, restaurants or private spaces.
Do the Organique Collection surfaces have a smell?
+
Some natural materials can give off a pleasant scent, for example lavender or surfaces based on Alpine meadow. The intensity depends on the décor, the room, the ventilation and time. As these are natural materials, the scent may gradually fade. Some surfaces have little or no smell and are chosen mainly for their texture and appearance.
Can I order samples before choosing?
+
Yes. Cambois recommends ordering samples before a project, especially for wood, stone, metal and the Organique Collection. Samples let you check the colour, texture, relief, finish and how the material works with the light in your room. Sample delivery is free.
Can the products be cut to size?
+
Most panels can be cut with suitable tools, depending on the material and the substrate. Acoustic panels can be adjusted in height or width, and stone veneers can be cut carefully according to the project. For precise cuts, large surfaces or professional installations, it is best to test the material or seek advice.
Which accessories are useful for installation?
+
Cambois offers various accessories such as matching screws, finishing trims, profiles, suitable adhesives like Polyflex 466 and LED solutions for acoustic panels. The right accessory depends on the type of panel, the substrate, direct or frame mounting, and the desired edge finish.
Ordering & payment
How do I choose the right product for my project?
+
The choice depends on the main goal: improving acoustics, creating a decorative wall, dressing a piece of furniture, adding a natural surface or achieving a stone, wood or metal effect. For a professional project, Cambois can help you compare the collections, substrates, formats, finishes, lead times and the accessories required.
Can I ask for advice before ordering?
+
Yes. Cambois is available to answer technical or aesthetic questions before ordering. You can send photos, plans, dimensions or a description of your project to receive a more precise recommendation.
What payment methods are available?
+
The payment methods available on the site include PayPal, credit card and TWINT. During the order process, you are guided to your chosen method so you can complete the payment simply and securely.
Are samples refunded after an order?
+
For several collections, the cost of the sample can be refunded after a corresponding panel order. The conditions may vary depending on the collection and the type of sample. It is usually enough to email the receipt to Cambois so the refund can be processed.
Can I order for a professional or B2B project?
+
Yes. Cambois also works with architects, designers, joiners, fit-out specialists, general contractors, hotels, restaurants, offices and shops. For larger projects, we recommend contacting Cambois to check quantities, lead times, samples, technical feasibility and delivery conditions.
Delivery
What are the estimated delivery times?
+
Lead times depend on the type of product. Samples are usually delivered within 1 to 2 weeks. Design and acoustic panels are usually delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. Stone Veneer Classic products usually take 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the collection, finish and availability.
Is sample delivery free?
+
Yes. Delivery is free for samples. It is an easy way to compare finishes before committing to a larger project.
How do I prepare for the delivery of large-format panels?
+
Before delivery, check that the address is correct, that someone can receive the goods and that the panels can be carried to the storage or installation area. Large formats must be handled with care and stored flat or according to the product recommendations.
What should I do if a product arrives damaged?
+
If a parcel or panel appears damaged on arrival, take photos of the packaging and the product before using or installing it. Contact Cambois quickly with your order number and the photos so the situation can be reviewed.
How should I store the products before installation?
+
Store the panels and surfaces in a dry, clean place at normal temperature, away from direct humidity. Natural materials should acclimatise to the room before installation when this is recommended. Avoid exposing them to high humidity, direct sunlight or significant temperature variations before installation.
