Design panels with respect for nature

The design panels in our organic collection are covered with authentic natural raw materials; each surface is thus composed of materials from nature, such as alpine meadow hay, flower petals, wool, and moss. These raw materials are carefully harvested and processed with the utmost respect for their origin, which preserves the structure, color variations, and feel of the finished material. No two surfaces are exactly alike: each panel has its own natural character.

Natural materials that enhance both acoustics and experience

Each panel in the organic collection is unique. Natural materials create a living surface that diffuses and attenuates sound while adding warmth, depth, and character to the room. The acoustic design reduces reverberation and contributes to a more pleasant sound environment without compromising the design, durability, or authenticity of the materials.

These surfaces are not just visually pleasing: they also stimulate the senses and sometimes emit a subtle natural fragrance, making these panels particularly suitable for hotels, offices, restaurants, showrooms, healthcare facilities, and high-end residences where well-being and ambiance are central.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the natural surfaces in the Organique Collection?
The natural surfaces of the Organique Collection are decorative wall coverings made from genuine natural materials such as Alpine hay, lavender, moss, rose petals, wool or other plant fibres.

They bring an authentic touch of nature to walls, ceilings, furniture or decorative elements. Each surface has a unique texture, colour and sometimes scent, because it is composed of carefully selected natural materials.

At Cambois, these surfaces are offered to create warm, sensory and original interiors, while meeting the needs of architects, interior designers, joiners and discerning private clients.
Are the organic panels really made from real natural materials?
Yes. The surfaces of the Organique Collection are made from genuine, renewable natural materials. Depending on the chosen décor, you will find for example hay, flowers, leaves, moss, lavender, wool or other plant fibres.

These materials are applied to various substrates so they can be used in interior design. The result is a natural surface, visible and tactile, which does not seek to imitate nature but to genuinely integrate it into the space.
Do the natural surfaces have a smell?
Yes, some natural surfaces can give off a pleasant scent, depending on the material used. For example, lavender can add a soft, relaxing note, while surfaces made from hay or Alpine meadow can recall the smell of a mountain meadow.

The intensity of the scent depends on the material, temperature, humidity, ventilation and each person's sensitivity. As with any natural material, the scent may gradually fade over time.

Some surfaces, such as decorative leaves or certain plant fibres, have little or no smell. They remain very appealing nonetheless for their visual appearance and natural texture.
Are the Organique Collection panels suitable for people with allergies?
The natural materials used in this type of surface are processed and fixed into the final product. According to the manufacturer's technical information, certain materials that are naturally allergenic when fresh, such as hay, moss or some leaves, do not have the same characteristics once processed and fixed into the covering.

For sensitive projects, such as hotels, offices, schools or public spaces, we recommend checking the technical documents and certificates available for the chosen décor. Cambois can help you select a surface suited to your project.
What is the lifespan of the natural surfaces?
Under normal indoor conditions, the natural surfaces are designed to last a long time. They can be compared to other decorative coverings used indoors, provided they are installed and maintained correctly.

As they are made from genuine natural materials, some colours may evolve slightly over time, especially plant fibres containing chlorophyll. This evolution is part of the natural character of the product and gives each surface a living, authentic appearance.
Are all the natural surfaces identical?
No. Each surface is unique. Variations in colour, texture, density, scent or composition are part of the charm of natural materials.

Even for the same décor, small differences may appear between two panels or two production runs. This should not be regarded as a defect, but as proof of the material's authenticity.

For an important project, we recommend ordering a sample to see the real colour, texture and effect of the material before confirming the order.
Where can the Organique Collection surfaces be used?
The natural surfaces can be used in many interior projects: decorative walls, ceilings, furniture, furniture fronts, acoustic panels, design elements, hotels, restaurants, offices, shops or private spaces.

They are particularly suited to projects looking for a natural, warm and distinctive atmosphere. They can also be combined with wood, stone or metal to create a richer, more personalised interior.
Can the natural surfaces be customised?
Yes, some surfaces can be customised according to the project, the substrate, the material or the desired effect. It is possible to work with different natural materials, colours, formats or technical solutions depending on requirements.

For architects, designers or joiners, this makes it possible to create a bespoke surface for a hotel, restaurant, office, showroom or high-end private project.

For any special request, Cambois can study the feasibility with you and advise you on the best solution.
How do you clean the natural surfaces?
The natural surfaces require gentle care. To remove dust or light dirt, we recommend using a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp, without rubbing aggressively.

You should avoid hard brushes, chemicals, aggressive cleaners and excess water. These surfaces are made from natural materials and must therefore be treated with care, like a high-end decorative covering.

In highly exposed areas or those with particular requirements, additional protection can be considered depending on the type of surface.
Are the natural surfaces suitable for wet rooms?
Without additional protection, the natural surfaces are mainly intended for dry indoor spaces. They should not be placed in direct contact with water or in areas heavily exposed to splashing.

For some projects, protection with varnish, oil, wax, impregnation, glass or another finish can be considered to improve resistance to moisture, abrasion or scratches.

For a bathroom, restaurant or public space, it is best to seek advice before ordering in order to choose the right surface and the right protection solution.
Are the natural surfaces sustainable and eco-friendly?
Yes. These surfaces are made from natural, renewable materials or from plant residues. They make it possible to showcase authentic materials and create interiors closer to nature.

They fit very well into concepts of biophilic design, sustainable architecture and responsible interior design. They offer an appealing alternative to purely synthetic surfaces or decorative imitations.
How should the natural surfaces be stored before installation?
The natural surfaces should be stored in a dry, clean, closed room at normal ambient temperature. It is advisable to protect them from direct light, humidity, dust and significant temperature variations.

Proper storage helps preserve the appearance, stability and natural scent of the material before installation.
